The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo

This series of graphic props was created as a result of Annie Atkins’ Design for Film and TV workshop in Dublin (December 2022). We were tasked with designing props for a character, and I chose Evelyn Hugo from The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Her rise to fame in 1950s–60s Hollywood provided a rich visual context, with themes of love, beauty, fame and ambition shaping the work. All illustrations are my own.

​Alongside the graphic props, I built a 1950s inspired dressing table and sourced vintage style items to dress the set. The final piece was featured in the University of Brighton’s 2023 BA Graduate Summer Exhibition.
